Home Visits

At Vision Care Opticians, we understand that unfortunately not everyone is able to make the journey to our practice and we believe that you should not have to compromise the quality of your eye care because of this. We endeavour to provide high quality and comprehensive sight examinations within the comfort of your own home using the latest portable diagnostic equipment.

Domiciliary visits are available upon request .We understand you may often wish for someone familiar to be present with you so we offer flexibility in our appointment times.

Each domiciliary visit is different and is tailored entirely to your individual requirements. We can visit residential homes, private addresses, day centres, hospitals or anywhere that is convenient for our patients. Whilst we are able to carry out extensive examinations at home, there are some pieces of equipment which are too specialist and large to transport. If you wish to pay us a visit in practice instead, we can offer to meet any patients at the Taxi drop off at Bridge Street with a wheelchair to aid access to our practice.

Any patient who is entitled to have an NHS eye examination and is unable to leave the house unaccompanied, is entitled to have a domiciliary visit for free.
